He specializes in high society murder cases, but since Sonoma doesn’t have any high society, and rarely has a murder case, he’s had to survive performing seedy divorce work for Sonoma County winery owners. Since many of these winery owners try to beat him out of his hard-earned fees, Jake has often accepted wine in payment for his services. Drinking his way through these payments has made Jake a wine expert.
